AFCOM Cadets Win First Place at International Military Medicine Competition

AFCOM cadet team awarded top honors for their research presentation on ultra-portable rapid blood clotting bio-dressings for forward operating bases.

A delegation of five senior officer cadets representing AFCOM&HS secured 1st Place at the 2026 International Military Medical Student Competition held in Geneva.

Their award-winning research paper, titled *"Chitosan-Enhanced Hemostatic Bandages for Rapid Field Hemorrhage Control"*, was selected out of 42 participating military medical academies worldwide.

The cadets were formally commended by the Commandant upon their return and awarded the College Academic Service Medal.
