Expanded Clinical Rotation Framework Signed with Tri-Service Reference Hospitals

A comprehensive clinical partnership agreement was signed yesterday between AFCOM&HS and the Directors of Medical Services across the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Under the expanded directive (DIR-2026-01), 4th and 5th-year MBBS cadets will undergo mandatory 12-week clinical rotations across specialized tertiary centers: - 44 Reference Hospital: Trauma, Neurotrauma & Reconstruction - Naval Base Medical Center: Marine Medicine & Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - Air Force Hospital: Aeromedical Evacuation & Aviation Physiology

This cross-service training model ensures cadet medical officers possess broad operational exposure prior to receiving their commission as officer captains.
